							<description><![CDATA[It is interesting to note that Ambedkar wanted the reservation scrapped after the first 10 years yet political constraints made sure that they continued. If that is indeed true then I just do not understand what constraints INC had in 1957 as they were unchallenged and almost the only single party in the country well until 1970. They did not need any votes at that point based on caste politics. I could be wrong, but this is a bit perplexing. <br/>

But it is very true that talent is basically suffering in modern India with these reservations. This becomes all the more tougher when you are trying to gain a seat in top institutes of higher education. I just hope that this nonsense never touches the private sector]]></description>

Reservation is gaping large and wide upon the intelligentsia of modern India. Merit has become a courtesan to be molested time and again in the hands of quota-holders. Times have changed, hence a sense of urgency to eliminate reservation is so very imminent.]]></description>
